How do you explain UX design to a 5-year-old?

January 17, 2023 by uday nandan

UX design is like making a really cool playground for people to play in. The playground has slides, swings, and a sandbox, and it’s all set up so that kids can have fun and play safely.

UX design for websites and apps is like making a playground on a computer. Instead of slides and swings, it’s buttons and pictures that you click on to make things happen. And instead of a sandbox, it’s a place where you can type words and look at things.

The designer’s job is to make sure that the playground is easy to use, and fun and that everyone can play safely. They make sure the buttons are easy to find and easy to press. They make sure that the pictures are colourful and interesting. And they make sure that the typing place is easy to use so you can find what you’re looking for.

So in short, UX designers make sure that things on a computer are easy and fun to use!
