What is considered to be difficult in the workflow for a UX Designer?

April 2, 2019 by uday nandan

Let’s rephrase that from difficult to tedious. The workflow for a UX Designer is not considered to be difficult, but it can be a long and tedious process, but that can depend on various situations. Normally, the general workflow for a UX Designer starts with meetings, understanding requirements, coming up with the solutions in the form of process flows and storyboards, multiple iterations, design and final delivery. What can be difficult (or rather, tedious) in this workflow is a large number of client meetings one has to attend to, research and finalising the requirements for the product/idea. This stage of the workflow can take some time, but in no way it is difficult. Once all the research and requirement is in place, coming up with solutions, making the wireframes, flows, prototypes can be a collaborative approach. What may be another difficult scenario is the development stage where normally things may go haywire; but if there is a good understanding between the designers and the developers, this can be dealt with considerable ease.

The entire design process is actually a collaborative process (if in a team) but it can also be handled by a single person who is well versed in the UX design workflow. The work of a UX Designer is actually exciting and thrilling; coming up with groundbreaking solutions, exploring ideas and concepts, working with clients and designers (and developers) are all part of the process.
