In recent years the field of design has been compartmentalized into various different subsections with seemingly unique job titles but in reality, a lot of overlapping areas of expertise.
To identify the role and desired skillsets of a UX architect it is best to inspect what is provided by the current job market. An inspection of ads reveals that: “a UX Architect will help meet internal and external user needs by designing solutions that are both elegant and feasible… be involved in projects from concept to launch, working with the Product team, the Software Engineering team, senior UX team members and partners”. The desired skills are the standard bread and butter of a normal UX Designer/Researcher. Conceptualizing, usability testing, documenting and evaluating, leading workshops with stakeholders, analyze business needs and define objectives. In the end, the job title does not really matter, it is what is in the role description that counts
