Because for them, it’s the fancy and pretty looking UI that matters more than user experience. And the perpetual rush to get their product live. It’s not enough to be the fastest to get your product online, it’s how good the product is to use for the users. Startups feel they can neglect the experience to get a jazzy site/app out in the market so as to make the “we’re the first” proclamation. They feel all that jazz without the experience, can make users love the product. That can be a possibility but users sure are getting smarter these days. If the user experience and usability are not up to the mark, you can be assured that users will severely punish your application. UX is most important these days; if a user cannot use your app/website well, what’s the point of all the colourful visuals and illustrations?
