Is user research considered the biggest part of the UX design process?

March 14, 2019 by Swathi Kirthyvasan

User research is the biggest and most important part of the UX design process. Not even the design, the creation of personas and flows and prototypes. All kinds of research, be it, user, market or competitor research is important to kick start the design process. Research gives the designers the base upon which they can start building solutions. The more research is done, the easier it becomes to understand how things work, and how things need to be in the new product. Research gives designers an understanding of how users respond to a particular product/app, how they feel about it, how it could be better and more. Armed with this amount of research, designers can solve problems easily and quickly, thus saving time on the other stages in the UX design process.
